American Indian Health Service of Chicago, Inc.- AIHSC provides primary health care, behavioral health and community health services to the American Indian population of Chicago, Illinois.
Anawim Center - A Native American Interfaith Spirtual Center. Chicago Based.
AIC Chicago - To promote the fellowship among Indian people of all Tribes living in metropolitan Chicago, and to create bonds of understanding and communication between Indians and non-Indians in this city. To advance the general welfare of American Indians into the metropolitan community life; to foster the economic and educational advancement of Indian people; to sustain cultural, artistic and avocational pursuits; and to perpetuate Indian cultural values.

CIMC - California Indian Manpower Inititive offers self help programs and direct services to assist the eligible American Indian population to become economically self-sufficient and to alleviate poverty in the rural, reservation, and urban areas through Community Services Block Grant funding. Chicago Based HIV/AIDS Service Providers
The Chicago Recovery Alliance – Offers free and legal needle exchange, free HIV/STD testing, addiction treatment, healthcare referral and assistance, as well as female and male condoms.
BEHIV – Offers case management, mental health services, housing, and prevention for individuals with HIV/AIDS.
The Children’s Place Association – Children’s Place is a safe haven for families who deal with HIV/AIDS. This agency offers supportive housing to families affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as round the clock nursing and residence to children that suffer with HIV/AIDS. This program also has a foster and adoptive placement program for individuals who wish to adopt/foster children with HIV/AIDS.
Vital Bridges - Vital Bridges’ mission is to help people throughout metropolitan Chicago impacted by HIV/AIDS to improve their health and build self-sufficiency by providing food, nutrition, housing, case management and prevention services.
AIDS Foundation of Chicago - The mission of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago is to lead the fight against HIV/AIDS and improve the lives of people affected by the epidemic.
Howard Brown - The mission of Howard Brown is to promote the well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons through the provision of health care and wellness programs, including clinical, educational, social service and research activities. Howard Brown designed these programs to serve gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons in a confidential, supportive, and nurturing environment. Howard Brown Health Center is committed to working cooperatively with other community-based organizations serving and contributing to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
Test Positive Aware Network - TPAN empowers people living with HIV through peer-led programming, support services, information dissemination, and advocacy. TPAN also provides services to the broader community to increase HIV knowledge and sensitivity, and to reduce the risk of infection.
CORE Center - The mission of the CORE Center is to provide the highest quality care for persons and families affected by infectious diseases, with respect, dignity and compassion, without regard to the ability to pay; to ensure a patient-centered and consumer-guided environment; and to seek to better understand and to prevent these diseases through education and research.
Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry - The vision of Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry (ABAM) is to transform the lives of people with HIV/AIDS within a compassionate, supportive community by providing a home, comprehensive services, and spiritual care. Supportive services include case management, substance abuse/recovery counseling, occupational therapy, spiritual care, and after care. ABAM has two facilities: Bonaventure House on the North Side of Chicago, and The Harbor in Waukegan.
Non-HIV/AIDS Chicago Based Service Providers
Haymarket Center – A non-profit agency that deals with alcohol and substance abuse treatment. Haymarket offers intervention, recovery homes, mental health and a detox service as well as many other services.
Night Ministry - The Night Ministry connects with Chicago’s vulnerable youth and adults, providing basic supplies, self-care supplies, free healthcare, housing, and supportive services for youth, as well as referrals to other resources and more. They offer services on the street, with a mobile health bus, and at their shelter for homeless youth.
Apna Ghar - Apna Ghar provides culturally-appropriate, multilingual services, including emergency shelter to survivors of domestic abuse.
Rape Victim Advocates - is an Illinois not-for-profit organization made up of many individuals with two primary goals: to assure that survivors of sexual assault are treated with dignity and compassion; and to affect changes in the way the legal system, medical institutions and society as a whole respond to survivors.
